Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Frontierland - Fastpass & New Story Driven Entrance 

The Fastpass implementation at the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction at Disneyland was incredibly challenging as it involved a complete physical and operational redesign of the entrance to the attraction. Some of these challenges were the integration of multiple communication and scanning technologies into what had to appear as the local Blacksmith shop built in the 1850’s.

I partnered closely with operational teams, provided Creative Direction, and all the Thematic Design to solve:

• Seamless integration of technology with serviceable access into the themed structure

• Create a flexible queuing system combining hard props and movable ropes

• Provide cast sight-lines into the design for guest safety during measuring

• Develop a single night milestone schedule to install the structure
