Downtown Disney California

The Splitsville location in California offers a unique combination of dining, bowling and live entertainment with 625 restaurant seats, a large outdoor patio overlooking the Downtown Disney District, two full-service bars and 20 luxury bowling lanes.

A year after opening, the owners of Splitsville wanted better "street" presence and to give Guests a taste as to what's in store when they visit, which afforded me the opportunity to design two new marquees. Keeping in the modern mid-century style, I pitched new concepts to both Disney and Splitsville executives. I enjoyed sketching a contemporary version of an old classic neon bowling sign that highlights the offerings inside as well as compliments the architectural details. These new pieces now live in perfect balance with the facility’s architectural clean lines and glass and stone materials.

The process required meetings with both Disney and Splitsville Executives to discuss implementation. This was a great project collaborating with so many of our partners to implement something special in Downtown Disney.
